We love life, but we hate cancer, so once again this year Ali Mace (Senior Designer) and Emma Bayliss (Digital Marketing Manager) are running Race For Life at University Parks, on 12th July.
Please support their efforts by donating.
Everybody knows the loss and devastation that cancer brings. So, let’s end it together.
This will be my fourth year raising money for Cancer Research UK. As always, I’ll be taking part in memory of my dear cousin Dean, who we sadly lost to Bowel Cancer in February 2012 and also my Uncle Luigi who we lost a year later.
Words cannot describe how much myself and my family miss Dean and Luigi. However, fantastic fundraising events like Race for Life help to keep their memory and positivity alive. Not only am I taking part in Race for Life for my loved ones, but also to help others who have been diagnosed, or affected by Cancer. It is not only difficult for those with Cancer, but also the families and friends of the patient too.
“I will be thinking of all those people as I run and make it to the finish line. Good luck.”
There are a lot of people in my life who have been diagnosed recently. Thankfully, there are some who have come out the other side but there are those who are still battling every day.
Race For Life is an amazing event because it is a way of bringing women together to feel joy and take action on behalf of those who have been taken too soon.
It’s a day for remembering and taking note of what’s important in life. I last did Race for Life two years ago the day after my niece was born. It really is an occasion to celebrate life and to give it everything we’ve got.
“I will be thinking of all those people taken too soon and the brave families who continue to fight on.”
