It’s mutually rewarding, building a long-lasting relationship with your client. It’s even more rewarding when that client is HAGA Action on Alcohol, the London-based support agency for alcohol misuse.
HAGA tackle the harm caused by alcohol misuse by raising awareness of the dangers of excessive drinking and supporting people to cut back their drinking or stop altogether. In the 15 years we’ve worked with them they’ve helped thousands of people and families.
Following their recent rebrand, we’ve been busy this autumn designing and building their website, creating their Annual Report, and putting together all of the marketing material for their Annual Public Meeting (APM) on 21st November.
The APM was attended by around 100 people and was a huge success – featuring presentations, awards, delicious ‘mocktails’ and the launch of the new report and website.
CEO Gail Priddey received a twenty-year long service award. Gail joined HAGA as Day Services Manager in 1994, before becoming Deputy Director and finally CEO in 2010. Ram Kilic, Deputy Manager of the Substance Misuse and Offending Pathway, was presented with a ten-year long service award.
This year the meeting featured a ‘Question Time’ style debate. The proposition was, “Positive Drinking: Fantasy or Reality?” An expert panel consisting of ex-service users and industry experts such as Lucy Rocca, (Soberistas) and Ian McClaren, (CAMRA) led off, putting the case for either side. Following ninety minutes of lively debate, with questions for the panelists from the floor, everyone cast their vote. It was close, but the motion was carried that positive drinking is a reality.
The meeting was a great opportunity to showcase tools HAGA have created, like the DrinkCoach App and DontBottleItUp service that help people monitor and manage their drinking and actively change their habits.
HAGA has now helped over 15,000 people since it was founded in 1981. And with the continued success and growth of the organisation, we are looking forward to a lasting, inspiring relationship.
“Thank you so much to Clear & Creative – we’re really pleased with the website. It’s vibrant, it says what we are about it gives out a really positive message.
The Annual Report and Calendar are brilliant too.
HAGA has a long association with Clear & Creative, and it’s always been positive, but I think you’ve taken it to new heights this year!”
